Full length cDNA is not available for this gene. The 5'- and 3'-noncoding regions are directly confirmed by EST sequences. The intron/exon junctions are predicted from sequence patterns, but these have not been confirmed directly by observed cDNA sequence.
The structure of this gene should be confirmed by additional cDNA cloning. The 5’ UTR, as indicated from the single available EST sequence, comprises 620 bp and thus is unusually long. Several ATG-initiated open reading frames are located in the 5’ UTR prior to the ORF that codes for the polypeptide sequence shown here. Most of these are about 10 codons in length, but one of them comprises about 50 codons.
