Full length cDNA is available for this gene, so that all intron/exon junctions and 5'- and 3'-noncoding regions are directly confirmed. The transcription unit overlaps by about 50 bp at the 3’ with the downstream gene. The two genes are convergently transcribed. This situation is confirmed by full length cDNAs for both genes, and also for 3’ ESTs that clearly identify the 3’ ends of the two transcripts.
