Full length cDNA is not available for this gene. The 5'- and 3'-noncoding regions are directly confirmed by EST sequences. The intron/exon junctions are predicted based on sequence patterns, but remain to be confirmed by direct observation of cDNA sequence. The 3’ end of the transcription unit overlaps by 50 bp with that of the downstream gene. The two genes are convergently transcribed. This situation is confirmed by 3’ ESTs that clearly identify the 3’ ends of the two transcripts.
