AtBAM9 Sequence Data
TAIR Locus ID: AT5G18670
The nucleotide coordinates in the Arabidopsis genome of the cDNA sequences analyzed here can be found at the AtGDB link noted above.
Full length cDNA is available for this gene, so the extent of the 5'- and 3'-noncoding regions, and the locations of the intron/exon junctions, are known directly from nucleotide sequence. The AtBAM9 gene is transcribed convergently with the downstream gene, such that the polyadenylation sites of the two transcription units are separated by about 30 nt. This gene structure is confirmed by EST sequences that clearly identify the 3' ends of the two transcripts.
