Full length cDNA is available for this gene, so the extent of the 5'- and 3'-noncoding regions, and the position of the intron/exon junctions, are defined directly by nucleotide sequences. The genome sequence project predicts that the downstream transcription unit is convergent with the AtPHO1 gene and overlaps with it at the 3’ end. Transcription of the putative gene downstream gene AT3G29330, however, has not been detected by EST analysis or full length cDNA cloning. The predicted downstream gene is not indicated in the sequences shown here.
